Dynamic Positioning System consists of Power Management System, Thruster System and Dynamic Positioning (DP) control system components.
Applications
Our Dynamic Positioning System software works within DP control system and it has a software interface that is applicable and redesignable for every kind of platform and various range of power levels. Also, the system can be activated as DP-I, DP-II, DP-III.
System software provides a rapid communication using TCP/IP and MODBUS communication protocols. It has a user friendly interface.
Our software interface supports Windows and/or Linux based operating systems and offers information in a highly flexible degree. Uses familiar user interface components like menu bars and communication boxes. The tasks that do not have any special panel buttons can be controlled using menu bars.
Location Holder
Holds the desired location within the control systems’ normal movement and identified ambient conditions. Our software system works with the following position reference systems:
Differential GPS (DGPS)
Gyro Compass
Artemis
Cyscan
Anemomete
Radius
Power Management System
Power management system uses (PMS) all of the necessary components needed for supplying power to DP system. PMS consists of; Necessary auxiliary systems with propulsion units including piping circuit. Generators, power distribution boxes and distribution system (including cables and cable paths) The system automation and power management is done by communicating directly between the user interface and DP system to transfer enough power to run the thrusters.
Thruster System
Thruster system consists of the following :
Propulsion system with thrusters including piping and auxiliary systems,
Main propellers and rudders if it is under the control of the DP system,
Thruster controller electronic systems,
Thruster hand controllers and,
Required cables and cabling paths.
All of the required components and systems communicate directly with the user interface thus providing the system automation to provide the required thrust and direction,
Positioning Preservation & Redunancy System
Accurate positioning resolution thanks to employment of Kalman Filtering technique.
With sensitivity of the percepted values and use of proper equipment Location Holder can achieve position accuracy under 1 meter of precision.
In the event of a system fault, redundancy system decides if a component should continue to work or to be stopped for further repairs thus providing the continuity of the running system.
Dynamic positioning software can be activated as DP-I, DP-II or DP-III within the redundancy system.
